My HDR Video Looks Washed Out

This is almost always your player, not the file. Most VR players ignore HDR and show it as SDR, which gives the milky, flat look.

Use a player that handles HDR:

• Apple Vision Pro: the Photos app
• Meta Quest 3: a recent Skybox VR, or DeoVR
• Mac or PC: VLC or IINA

Also check that HDR is switched on in your headset display settings.

To check the file itself: open it in VLC, then Tools, then Codec Information. "SMPTE 2084" or "ARIB-STD-B67" means the HDR is intact. If it says "BT.709", contact us with your video ID.
