How Do the Sandbox and Test Minutes Work?

There are two free ways to try the API before you pay.

The sandbox (always free):

With your test key you build and test your integration. Conversions finish after about 20 seconds with sample files, and your webhook is called just like in live mode. Put "fail" in the source link to see what happens when a conversion fails. Nothing is converted and no minutes are used.

The 10 test minutes (once per company):

Request them on your account page. Once we have approved them, we add 10 free minutes to your account and you can create a live key. Use them to convert your own videos, so you can judge the quality on your own footage before you buy. They are given once per company, with a business email address. That keeps the offer fair and stops misuse with throwaway accounts.

Test minutes are used before your balance and work like paid minutes: a 2-minute video uses 2 minutes. A video you stream with test minutes stays online for 14 days.
